Polar FT80 nominated for the Designpreis Deutschland 2010

The award-winning Polar FT80 has been nominated for the highly recognized Designpreis Deutschland 2010. The Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany is an international invitation competition, which a company can only enter if its product has already been awarded with a national or international design prize. Therefore Designpreis Deutschland is known as the Prize of the Prizes. It is the competition for the very best designs only, and no other design award sets such high criteria on entries.
The FT80 has already received the coveted iF product design award 2009, Plus X Award for excellent design, and the Fennia Prize 2009 as well. With these exceptional international achievements in the field of product design, the FT80 earned a nomination for the Designpreis Deutschland 2010. This honoring in a famous design competition has once again highlighted the valued product design of the FT80.
For over 40 years, the Designpreis Deutschland has illustrated international top achievements of the design. Among the 1,240 registrations for the competition only up to 25 designs will receive the award for outstanding product design. The awards ceremony will be held 12 February, 2010, in the context of the opening of Ambiente – International Frankfurt Trade Fair 2010.
